Bahia Principe Riviera Maya Resort
Located in the very heart of the Mayan Riviera in the state of Quintana Roo. The resort is about 30 minutes south of Playa Del Carmen. Playa Del Carmen
Playa, as the locals call it, is one of the fastest growing cities in Mexico. Here you can find restaurants, night clubs (including Mambo Cafe), shopping, and a fabulous beach. Water sports are abundant in Playa Del Carmen with snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming, kayaking, sailing, para-sailing and much more. This is also were you catch the ferry to Cozumel which runs several trips a day.
Tulum - Mayan Ruins
This is a must see archeological site. The ruins at Tulum are some of the best in Mexico and it is the only Mayan site that is on the Caribbean coast. This site has many temples and buildings which will amaze you. The Tulum Ruins are only about 15 min. from Bahia Principe Resort.
Cenotes
Cenotes are pools of crystaline fresh water which the Mayan used for rituals and fresh drinking water. Some Cenotes are huge holes in the earth that are fed with underground rivers. Tour operators offer snorkeling, diving and adventure tours to many Cenotes.
Chichen Itza
Chichen Itza means "at the mouth of the Itza well". This is one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. It is the second most visited archeological site in Mexico.
